This year, The Boulos Company proudly celebrates 50 years of supporting and advancing commercial real estate across Maine and New Hampshire. Founded in 1975 by Joseph Boulos on Portland’s Upper Exchange Street, our company has grown into a trusted name in the industry—one built on integrity, deep community roots, and an unwavering commitment to our clients and partners.
Since our founding, The Boulos Company has expanded to include more than 80 employees based in Maine and New Hampshire, including 34 licensed commercial real estate brokers, and we offer services that cater to commercial tenants, buyers, landlords, and sellers—always evolving to meet our clients’ needs. Beyond our high-touch customer service, we emphasize support from within. Our success is driven by our people, and we’re grateful to every employee—past and present—who has shaped Boulos into the company it is today.
“We know that if our clients are pleased with the results we provide, it will lead to more business,” said Managing Partner Greg Boulos. “‘Do the right thing and the right thing will happen’ has been one of our guiding principles since the company was founded. As for the community at large, we encourage our brokers and employees to be on non-profit and for-profit boards as a way of giving back to the community. The Boulos Company is known for our philanthropic activities and believes that ‘giving back’ is an example to be followed.”
To mark our Golden Anniversary, nearly 600 guests joined us on Thursday, May 1, 2025, for a celebration at Brick South at Thompsons Point. True to our Maine roots, the event featured local talent and vendors, from the party planning by Citrine Events to catering from Lake Region Caterers and music by Don Campbell Music. Attendees included employees, clients, partners, tenants, local leaders, and Senator Susan Collins.
In recognition of our impact on the state’s economic development and our legacy as a leader in commercial real estate, Governor Janet Mills officially proclaimed May 1, 2025, to be The Boulos Company Day. (Yes, we were surprised and honored, too!)
As a part of our 50th anniversary, we’re launching Boulos 50 for 50, a company-wide effort to complete 50 meaningful acts of service in 2025. Already in motion, this initiative aims to strengthen community ties and encourage our team to give back in a way that’s personally meaningful to them, whether it’s volunteering, supporting causes, or organizing local events, our team is already making a meaningful impact with acts like participating in the effort to build a community pool, Supporting JA Maine’s Titan Challenge, Volunteering for the United Way 10-Miler, and many more, , and we are just getting started. We look forward to both continuing this work throughout the year and to continuing to support Maine and New Hampshire businesses grow and find their place.
