Portland, ME (August 2026) – The Boulos Company is pleased to announce that Managing Partner and Designated Broker Nate Stevens has earned the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation, an accreditation only held by the top 5% of commercial real estate professionals worldwide. Earning the SIOR designation reflects a commitment to the highest standards of commercial real estate, providing clients with proven expertise, trusted guidance, and access to an elite global network of industry professionals.
Founded in 1940, SIOR is an exclusive Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate association whose members represent the top 5% of industry professionals across 686 cities and 36 countries. The designation is awarded to brokers who demonstrate a high level of expertise, uphold strict ethical standards, and maintain a quantifiably exceptional production record.
Beyond the designation itself, the society maintains the Commercial Real Estate Index (CREI), a quarterly survey that captures member perspectives on leasing activity, asking rent trends, vacancy rates, subleasing conditions, concession packages, development and site acquisition activity, investment pricing, and how local and national economic conditions are shaping the property market.
“Earning your SIOR designation speaks volumes about a broker’s professionalism and ethical standards,” said Chris Paszyc, Managing Partner, CCIM, SIOR, of The Boulos Company. “In order to be considered, you must demonstrate a high level of sustained production over a number of years and, more importantly, be vetted by your peers—who very often are competition! The biggest benefit is the extensive global network it opens up, both listed and off-market deals, which allows us to serve our clients at the highest level.”
“This designation means a lot to me, but the real value is what it gives our clients access to,” said Stevens. “SIOR connects me to a national network of top-tier practitioners, so when I’m advising someone on a deal, I can draw on insight and data from markets well beyond Maine. I’m grateful to the clients and colleagues who’ve shaped my career, and I’m glad to put this designation to work for The Boulos Company and the people we serve.”
A Portland, Maine native, Stevens joined The Boulos Company in 2007 and works across all areas of commercial real estate, including office, retail, industrial, development, and investment properties throughout Central and Southern Maine. He has extensive experience working with local and national developers, investors, and companies ranging from nonprofits and start-ups to state organizations, municipalities, and large corporations.
