The Boulos Company Releases New Hampshire COVID Office Impact Survey Entitled: “Where is New Hampshire Working?”

The Boulos Company has released its “Where is New Hampshire Working?” survey, which explores the impact of COVID-19 on the commercial office market. The survey, conducted from December 2020 through February 2021, provides a snapshot of the local response to the pandemic. More than 60 New Hampshire professionals from a range of industries answered questions about working from home, productivity, office re-entry plans, and more.
Boulos conducted the survey to provide New Hampshire’s business community with insight into how their peers have responded to the pandemic, and share critical information as they move forward in an unprecedented real estate market.
“In New Hampshire, nearly half of respondents (46 percent) said they were fully back or phasing back to work at the office,” said Boulos’ Principal Broker, Kent White. “That’s higher than what we expected and a good sign for the Seacoast.” The majority of those surveyed are planning no change in their office square footage as a result of COVID or are still undecided. However, roughly 33 percent of respondents said that at least some of their employees will work from home permanently. As for productivity, most reported either no change or that they felt less productive working from home. Overall, survey responses—like those in Boulos’s earlier Maine survey—indicated that the safety and comfort level of employees will be at the forefront of office space decisions moving forward.
