On this episode of The Boulos Beat, guest host Jessica Estes, president, speaks with Megan Walton, CEO of Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA). SMAA is a non-profit organization that has served older adults, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers in York and Cumberland counties for 50 years. Megan and Jessica sit down to discuss Megan’s journey from Seattle to Maine, her interest in the non-profit sector, and the non-profit boards Megan serves on. They also talk about what led Megan to work at SMAA, the organization’s mission, and how they plan to celebrate the organization’s 50th anniversary. The two also speak about the most rewarding part of the job to Megan and how she manages to be the head of an organization while still having enough time for her growing family.
